P&C Newsletter – Term 4, Week 8 2024

Welcome to our final newsletter of 2024! The most important message we want you to hear is THANK YOU!! This year has been huge, filled with countless accomplishments, and it wouldn’t have been such a success without each and every one of you. Your unwavering support and dedication have played a crucial role in helping us reach our goals, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, effort, and passion you’ve all invested. Each contribution, whether big or small, has made a significant impact.

As we reflect on all the amazing events that you, your children and our wider community have participated in you realise how important your support has been in 2024. Casting your mind back to the Welcome BBQ back in February, the Easter Hat Parade in March, Mothers Day in May, Trivia in June, Book Parade and Fathers Day in August, Grandparents Day in October, of course our fabulous Fiesta in November and the Colour Run in December! Phew! These events could not of been possible without your support and we THANK YOU again.

FIESTA REVIEW

WHAT.A.DAY!!!! It was a storming success and our biggest and best yet, raising an incredible $51,000!!! Putting on this event required an army of dedicated volunteers and enthusiastic supporters, and it was truly magical to see all those happy faces throughout the day. The effort that was required beforehand was astonishing, involving meticulous planning, countless hours of preparation, and collaboration across various teams, but oh so worth it!!! From coordinating logistics to crafting an unforgettable experience, every moment of hard work paid off. Thank you to every single person that helped in the run-up, throughout the event, and the clean-up after; your commitment and passion made all the difference and created memories that will last our children a lifetime! And the biggest thank you to our fearless Fiesta leader Jodie Steele your efforts know no bounds!!

The P&C were delighted to present a cheque to the school for $55000 which will be used for a junior and senior bathroom makeover and new Cromebooks.

COLOUR RUN REVIEW

The Colour Explosion School Run 4 Fun held on Tuesday raised over $10000!! This was another hugely successful event and from the looks on our childrens faces, another unforgettable one. There were also a lot of helpers who were having just as much fun as the children although we’re not sure the teachers shared the joy on their lap round!

For those children that have raised $10 and above, the option to select your own prize finishes on Thursdays 5th Dec. After that, prizes will be allocated at random so get in quick. http://www.australianfundraising.com.au. You can also opt to donate to a cause – Carbon Neutral (tree planting), Great Barrier Reef Foundation (coral planting or turtle protection), The Smith Family (reading support) or OzHarvest (providing meals).

CHRISTMAS TREES

All of our fabulous Christmas Tress have now sold out. Please remember to collect them from the school on the morning of Saturday 7 December. We still have a few Christmas Puddings for sale but be quick, there are only a few remaining. Every purchase also donates a percentage to the school.

Thank you again for all of your support this year. A reminder that the last day of term is 18th December and the first day back is Thursday 6th February 2025, Speaking of 2025, we would like to extend a warm call out for new members looking to join the P&C next year; we guarantee it’s a fun and fulfilling way to support the school.
