Quite a lot of information for tonight, so I will just jump straight in!
NSW ELECTION BBQ AND RAFFLE
It is just under a week now until the first major fundraiser of the year, the NSW Election BBQ on 25 March. Please come and vote at the school, and whilst you are there grab a sausage sizzle, bacon and egg roll, cake or raffle ticket. This is a great chance to represent our school to the wider voting public, and also raise funds for the Year 6 graduation. We need some help to make this event a massive success, so please consider getting involved.
- We still need a few volunteers to help on the day – manning the BBQ, serving, helping on cake stall and selling raffle tickets. Please sign up here: https://signup.com/go/UkkHPHu
- Bakers we need some treats so if you could please bake (or buy!) some cakes. cookies, and sweet treat that would be fantastic. Goodies can be dropped off at school from 7.30am onwards on Saturday.
- If you are not able to donate the time, then an easy way to help is to buy some raffle tickets. These should be an easy sell as the prizes we have obtained are amazing. Hoverboard anyone!? (With thanks to Hoveroo for that one) Tickets can be purchase at school on Thursday and Friday pre/post school, at the OOSH end of Year BBQ on Friday afternoon, at the Election on Saturday and also online via the uniform shop
DEPT OF EDUCATION SURVEY
The NSW Department of Education has commenced their Eastern Suburbs High Schools Community Consultation to further understand parent and student decision-making factors regarding high school enrolment choices in the Eastern Suburbs and views on a range of proposals for future arrangements at Randwick Boys’ and Randwick Girls’ high schools.
The community consultation has now started, it’s a 9-week period and closes on 12th May 2023.

DEPT OF EDUCATION APP
The Dept of Education have an app that allows you to access school website and also link to your NSW Services app. It is useful if you want to see information about the school plus extra resources for kids, and updates on initiatives such as vouchers schemes.

BUNNINGS BBQ – K-2
CPS K-2 Fundraiser for NEW Readers 
SCPS parents and carers we need 5 helpers to help out at a fundraiser at Bunning Eastgardens to help raise funds for brand new readers for Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2.
Bunnings will provide all the food and BBQ setup we just need to cook and sell sausages, icypoles, and raffle tickets for our SCPS Easter Hamper giveaway (provided and packaged up by the P+C). Bring the kids along as it’s going to be heaps of fun with a science show, kids craft, animal farm, reptiles, Easter egg hunt and an appearance from The Easter Bunny himself! 
When: Thursday 30th March 6-8pm, we need 5 families helping, even if you can do an hour we would really appreciate the help. K-2 parents this is a great way you can help get your kids some great new readers (because let’s face it, they really need an update).

EASTER PARADE K-2 – 6 APRIL
The Easter Hat Parade is happening on 6 April, and as always we will be providing each child with their own easter egg. We would love donations so we can make this happen, so next time you are at the shops please pop some eggs in your trolley and donate to the school. We require these Cadbury eggs specifically (any size pack!)
