Hello Parents and Carers of SCPS

And just like that, we are in Week 9! There are a few important dates for the diary to note, and not long til the holidays.

CALENDAR

Wednesday 30 March

Five for the Floods Mufti Day. No theme, bring $5 to donate to schools recently affected by flooding in Northern NSW.

Parent Teacher Interviews

All Stage 3 interviews are now by zoom only. All appointments within school hours or on Thursday are also zoom only.

Friday 1 April

OOSH end of year BBQ – non OOSH families also welcome by enrolling for a casual day or attending with supervision. Proceeds going towards Gunawirra Flood Appeal.

Sunday 3 April

Working bee

Many hands make light work, come along and help make our school beautiful. Please bring gloves, a shovel and elbow grease! If you have a wheelbarrow that you can share we will also need extra. A great opportunity to meet other members of our SCPS community.

Thursday 7 April

K-2 Easter Hat Parade. Currently parents will be able to attend on site. We are looking for an Easter Bunny if anyone is available with costume!!? We will be providing eggs (and allergy appropriate gifts) for all the children (Eggs very generously donated by Leane and family)

Saturday 9 April to Monday 25 April inclusive

GROUNDS

Lots of exciting works happening around the Grounds of SCPS.

Netball and Basketball areas have been resurfaced. Game lines to be added in the holidays.

Approval granted to asphalt the entire driveway from Tubiaca to the walkway, patching in other areas.

Kindy Quad will be resurfaced in synthetic turf.

WISH LIST

We would like to get some formalised ‘wish list’ items this year for our fundraising so please let the Exec Team know if you have any good ideas. You can contact us on scpspandc@gmail.com. We are currently working on a sensory path and kitchen garden, but we can look at new ideas including mental health, sporting, educational aids, sustainability etc etc. If you have any great ideas, please let us know and we will put a list together. We can also apply for grants throughout the year if the project qualifies.
